Описание
It is after midnight when Vladimir tells two friends the story of his first love. The princely daughter Zinaida is five years older than the then sixteen-year-old. Vladimir must painfully learn that despite his deep love for Zinaida, he only serves as a toy to satisfy her whims. This bitter knowledge robs him of all concepts of value. First Love authentically reflects the social conditions of contemporary Russia that give off the outer framework of the action. The loss of moral values refers to both the individual and to a whole generation.
